Getting Show Season Ready

It’s that time of year. The garage door goes up…You haven’t turned the key in months…
And you’re thinking —‘Will she behave at the first show?’

Before you polish anything…before you pack the picnic blanket…
There are a few sensible things to check.

Keyring With Keys

01

Before You Turn the Key

  • Check engine oil level

  • Check coolant level

  • Check brake fluid level

  • Look underneath for fresh drips or puddles

  • Check battery terminals are clean and tight

  • Listen for the fuel pump ticking normally

  • Check all the lights, wipers and horn work

If something looks wrong before you start it — that’s good. you found out early!

02

Tyres & Wheels

  •  Check tyre pressures (including spare)

  • Inspect for cracks or perishing

  • Check for flat spots

  • Check wheel nuts are tight

  • Inspect hubcaps

Many  suspected suspension problems are actually just low PSI tyres.

The Gentle Test Drive (Before the Show)

Do this before you drive 40 miles to a show!
